Not only does this northern Thai city have beautiful mountains and lovely locals, but Chiang Mai is also a paradise for vegan food!
I spent the first 2 months of this year living and working in wonderful Chiang Mai. It’s made a name for itself in recent years as a digital nomad hub and has a large expat community. And the great thing about this? So many incredible places to find vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, raw options- I mean, you can even find a Sunday dinner in the middle of the old city if you wanted!
Chiang Mai has become a hub of remote workers, freelancers and online entrepreneurs over the past couple of years. With the super low cost of living, amazing wifi everywhere and the beautiful Thai culture, why wouldn’t you want to spend time here!
At the end of December last year my flight touched down in the beautiful northern Thai city.
With 10 days of accommodation booked and no plans for after that, the Chiang Mai digital nomad experiment began!
Do you ever find yourself in a city that just seems to connect to your soul more than others? That make you feel at home? Budapest is one of those for me and I can’t wait to go back some day.
Before coming to Budapest I’d researched where to find great vegan food in the city; turns out there are tonnes of vegan and vegetarian places to try! Here’s the low down on where you need to try…
Visiting family in Austin for 2 months this summer has been so great for really experiencing all the Texas capital has to offer. What really stands out is how easy it is to be active and make healthy choices here.
Ok, so of course Austin, like the rest of the US, has a tonne of fast food restaurants and unhealthy habits. However, it also has so much to offer that should be celebrated!
Do you have those places you’ve travelled to that you find yourself daydreaming about, wishing you were back there? For me, that place is Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark. Northern Europe is well known for being quite expensive, but there are lots of ways you can save money and still have a fabulous trip.
Earlier this month I headed up north with my mum and sister to Newcastle Upon Tyne, a university city in the northeast of England. We were staying with my brother and his wife, who’ve lived there for a few years now, and I can see why they love this little gem of a city!
